Lumatek Turrican Parabolic Reflectors
The Turrican Parabolic Reflector was designed in partnership between two powerhouses, Lumatek and Qwod. It delivers an intense, even spread of light with a design that produces low heat levels directly under the lamp, therefore this lamp can be lowered further than normal without burning the tops of your plants. This innovative reflector uses reflective medium ‘Miro’ with 95% reflectivity, rated for lamps up to 1000Watts.
The Turrican is a cut above-market alternatives because it is engineered from materials that will not degrade rapidly, reducing your light efficacy. These reflectors deliver optimum results without failover extended time periods. Unlike market alternatives, the lamp is mounted vertically and most of its output is directed sideways, towards curved surfaces then reflected back down in the direction of the canopy.
This unique method facilitates a more uniform spread of light than conventional horizontally mounted lamps do. You will find an even spread of light assists to create a more even canopy, adding regularity amongst plants when growing larger numbers in a specified area. This effect is enhanced by the ‘Miro’ finish in the Turrican’s design which eliminates hot spots; a concern for growers when light is too highly concentrated in an area.
The vents surrounding the lamp holder allow heat to escape through the top of the reflector. The open design of the reflector means temperatures directly under the lamp are significantly lower than under other reflectors. Therefore, you can position the Turrican closer to the top of the plants with no threat of burning.
The Turrican is supplied with a 375cm power cable with an IEC (kettle lead) connection. The IEC adapter is used to connect to a ballast of a suitable output for the lamp fitted to the reflector, up to 1000Watts.
